Did you know we have or very own Eucalyptus species that’s found nowhere else? The Yarriambiack Mallee-Box is known from only a handful of specimens just north of Brim. Join us to learn about this special species and see it growing in nature, and share our appreciation for all eucalypts that make our landscape what it is. We'll also enjoy a picnic lunch under the gum trees beside the weir pool at Brim, provided by the Brim General Store thanks to a Victorian Landcare Grant.
This event is held on National Eucalypt Day, an event spearheaded by Eucalypt Australia, which raises awareness about eucalypts and the important place they have in ecosystems and the hearts and lives of Australians. Eucalypt Australia also run a “Eucalypt of the Year” contest, and the results are announced on this day!
