More planting with Murtoa College!

Our facilitator, along with the student volunteers and supervising teachers.

In July, we had some year 9 Murtoa College students out at the Rupanyup Reservoir to finish planting some trees and help us remove old tree guards for re-use. This activity was organised through the Wimmera Southern Mallee Local Learning and Employment Network.

Due to grazing pressure from hares at the site, plastic guards were used instead of the usual milk cartons. They are more durable and last longer than milk carton guards, but because they are plastic we try to get as much use out of them as we can.
